United States Postal Service delivering holiday jobs to Denver

DENVER – The United States Postal Service is getting ready for the holidays, launching a hiring spree in Denver. Post offices in the Denver area have hired 600 new employees so far and are continuing to look for an additional 300 temporary workers.

During the holidays, the United States Postal Services sees demand for its service rapidly pick up, due to customers ordering gifts online and sending cards. During December, the package delivery organization anticipates demand for its services to grow by 10.5 percent compared to December 2014.

To meet its staffing needs, the United States Postal Service is hiring 30,000 temporary employees nationwide. The organization also has 1,500 year round positions available for entry level workers.
