Western Slope Colorado Oil & Gas Association creates scholarship for students pursuing jobs in energy field

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Western Slope Colorado Oil & Gas Association is setting out to help train the next generation of energy professionals.

The organization, which furthers oil and gas production in Western Colorado, donated $25,000 to establish a scholarship at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. Combined with other donations, Colorado Mesa University now has a total of $250,000 dedicated to scholarships for students pursuing jobs in energy-related fields.

The scholarship is open to current and recently accepted students at Colorado Mesa University. For the upcoming scholarship cycle, students should submit applications between Dec. 1, 2015 and Jan. 31, 2016. Further information about applying for the scholarship is available here.
